Who inspired you to make music?
I saw Jimi Hendrix play at Woodstock on an old video and it just blew me away. I immediately thought to myself…. That’s what I am going to do when I grow up!
What is your creative process like? Do you start with lyrics? Instruments? Concept?
To be honest it’s different every time, sometimes it starts with a riff on guitar. Sometimes it’s a few words and a melody. How ever the music flows I tend to go with what feels. natural.
What do you feel is the best song you have released/written and why?
Good Riddance To Good Times.. I love the vocal arrangements on that track. It all came together so well and when I hear the finished version it’s hard to believe I wrote it sat on my bed.
What is the best advice you’ve been given?
My older brother Craig once told me “know one is coming to help you so stop your b–ing and sort it out yourself” ha ha. Slightly harsh but a great lesson. Once you realise your the one in charge of your progress then you can take control.

How do you feel the Internet has impacted the music business?
Great for exposure bad for album sales. I stream music too it’s the way people listen these days. Gone are the days of buying albums for the most part. But there’s still lots of amazing positive stuff too. For example I did a live stream in my kitchen last week and nearly 600 people jumped on the watch it.
If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?
When bands are offered more money to change there look, style and sell there soul to be a star! I guess it’s the way things work but you got to stay true to yourself. Happiness is everything.

When you’re done with music, what do you want people to think when they talk about you and your work?
Bloody hell that guy was good! Ha ha. Look I want to leave an impression for people and for years to come. For people to hear my music and think wow I can really connected with that.
