Who inspired you to make music?
Marco Brantner – I guess a lot of amazing artists that I listened to when I was growing up. As a teenager I never thought becoming a musician, it only hit me later and it actually started because I wanted to write music and communicate through this art.
What is your creative process like? Do you start with lyrics? Instruments? Concept?
In general, it starts with a riff or a melody and after we think of lyrics to suit the mood and vibe of the song.
What do you feel is the best song you have released/written and why?
It is a tough one to answer. We are proud of all our songs because we’ve managed to express our emotions and ideas, however if we really have to pick one, I will say “Pendulum of time”. We feel that this song has powerful meaning and grows inside you the more you listen to it.
What is the best advice you’ve been given?
Always be kind and humble.
If you could be any kind of cookie, what would it be and why? (Most important question)
That is a very deep question, I am going to lay awake from it (laugh). I would choose to be a fortune cookie as you never know what to expect from it and we are a bit of the same.
How do you feel the Internet has impacted the music business?
I think that it completely changed the business model but also brought great tools for independent musicians. On one hand it brings a lot of noise but on the other, there has never been before so easy and accessible to discover new music.
If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?
End up with the war of loudness.
What is the most useless talent you have?
To whistle like an Owl.
When you’re done with music, what do you want people to think when they talk about you and your work?
“what a shame that they’re done with music, they brought us so much joy with it”.
What is your most recent project/upcoming project?
We are recording a new album which we are overly excited about. We have also been streaming live in an acoustic format every Tuesday and Friday at 7 pm (London time), where we perform some of our own songs but also covers that we like, and the listeners can even request songs which makes it very interactive.
