Who inspired you to make music?
I think as a band we’ve all been brought up to love ‘good songs’ regardless of what genre it is which is why we have a wide range of influences and tend to fuse all kind of genres into one whilst always keeping it ‘Arcadian Haze’. To name a few off top of my head I’ll say The Streets, Happy Monday’s & Beastie Boys.
What is your creative process like? Do you start with lyrics?
We never tend to start with lyrics it’s always a band jam and then Tye and Nath will start singing/rapping some lyrics what they’ve already wrote up or the top of their heads that works with whatever the band are playing.
What do you feel is the best song you have released/written and why?
That’s like asking to choose our favourite children! We tend to go with the ‘if it’s not better than the last release scrap it’ approach so I’ll have to go with the lastest song we’ve wrote that your all yet to hear ‘Happy’.
What is the best advice you’ve been given?
“Write, write, write!!” – Ville Leppanen of The Animal Farm.
If you could be any kind of cookie, what would it be and why? (Most important question)
Space cookie, give the sampler a real high whilst desperate to do it again and again!
How do you feel the Internet has impacted the music business?
I think the internet has both its pros and cons when it comes to the music business; for instance it’s great that you can build your audience on social media but not so much that you can buy an audience.
If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?
Get rid of the sharks who target new bands purely to make money out of them through selling tickets and taking 90% of the profit with no good will towards the band they’re exploiting what so ever.
What is the most useless talent you have?
Gilby is one of the nations leading swingers!
When you’re done with music, what do you want people to think when they talk about you and your work?
That we have a solid base of work that as been consistently good from start to finish.
What is your most recent project/upcoming project?
We’ve got a concept 3 track EP to release hopefully sometime this year, covid permitting.
